RSS Feed for the Captain's Comments
Arr! There be technology ahead!
RSS 2.0
http://www.captainscomments.com/rss.asp
The Captain's Comments now has an RSS feed. If you've never heard of RSS before, it stands for "Really Simple Syndication." This means you can use an RSS-capable program to know when there has been an article posted here rather than clicking all the time to check up on me.
Where can I get an RSS-capable program?
Good question! There are many, but I use http://my.live.com. You can configure this page with the RSS feeds you want. I have the weather and stock tickers, the Astronomical Picture of the Day, some news feeds, and a few of my favorite blogs - Michelle Malkin, Power Line, and Little Green Footballs.
How do I add the Captain's Comments to my.live.com?
First, copy the URL up at the top of this page (the one after "RSS 2.0"). Then go to http://my.live.com. On the page there is an option to "Add feed or gadget by URL." Paste the URL to that form and click the Subscribe button. The Captain's Comments will be added to the list of your feeds under the logo. If you want to move it to the front page, click on The Captain's Comments under the My Web section, and then click the add to my page link. Once on the main page, you can move it to whichever column and position you like.
Enjoy!
