The Disneyland word for the day is pain. Pain from walking in the wrong shoes even after a wise and knowing husband told his wife not to wear them. (rage… intensifying… must… not… kill… husband… –TPK) Pain from walking too much in really comfy shoes, but more than what I’m used to with my normal couch-potato lifestyle. Happily, I have to date avoided the pain of a really nasty sunburn. I’ve learned a thing or two in my years, I guess. Still, it’s been fun so far.

Here’s my Disneyland chuckle for the day. As I pointed out the “It’s a Small World” ride, my niece started to hum a theme song. But she didn’t hum the tune “It’s a Small World After All.” Instead, she hummed the parody tune from Shrek.

Welcome to Dulac, such a perfect town
Here we have some rules, let us lay them down.
Don’t make waves, stay in line, and we’ll get along fine.
Dulac is a perfect place.
Please keep off of the grass
Shine your shoes, wipe your…face.
Dulac is.. DULAC IS…Dulac is a per-fect plaaaaaaace!

She had no idea why I laughed. Score one for the guys at Dreamworks, for successfully indoctrinating my niece while spoofing Disneyland for the adults.
